Locals witnessed giant hailstones measuring up to 7 centimeters in certain regions. Weather authorities verified that different parts across the state had been affected by substantial ice precipitation.

Rescue organizations responded to nearly 600 emergency reports across the state, mainly for property damage but also for collapsed vegetation and flooding.

Moist weather were forecast to persist along much of Queensland's east this coming days as a low-pressure trough continued to pull in damp air against the coast.
The following day was forecast to be the wettest day, with ongoing severe weather risk anticipated across different parts of both states.

Public health experts cautioned that there was an higher risk of thunderstorm-induced asthma across the state's northern country region, specifically given the existing atmospheric conditions.
